Ras Kass, is a revered MC and lyricist who has left an indelible mark on the West Coast hip-hop scene. Hailing from Carson, California, Ras Kass first emerged in the early 1990s as a fiercely talented and uncompromising rapper.

Ras Kass’ debut album “Soul on Ice” (1996) earning widespread acclaim for its complex rhyme structures and politically charged lyrics.The album cemented his reputation as one of the most cerebral and lyrically adept MCs of his generation.

Over the course of his career, Ras Kass has collaborated with a diverse array of hip-hop legends, including Nas, Talib Kweli, and Xzibit. His collaborations have often yielded some of the most intricate and thought-provoking hip-hop tracks of their respective eras.

Known for his uncompromising lyrical approach and fierce independence, Ras Kass has never shied away from tackling controversial or politically sensitive subject matter in his music. Tracks like “Nature of the Threat” and “Anything Goes” have earned him a reputation as one of the most socially conscious and lyrically daring MCs in the game.
