Full Blast crew

The Full Blast Movement was founded in 2010 by Duece Bug, Chuck Nickels and Ant Bombjack.  They took CT by storm, packing and often selling out venues, making an impact on the state with their high energy performances, raw lyrics and support of their community.  They organized their own shows, and then full regional tours.  In 2015 Duece Bug took a few years off to launch and grow Full Blast Booking, where he envisioned booking tours for other indie artists as he stepped down from the headliner role.  The Full Blast Crew are all Bridgeport CT based, founding Full-Blastards, and those who remain active in 2022: Duece Bug, Chuck Nickels, UnikronH.O.T.,  and DJ Funksway.  Unikrons latest project- “Its All Good Till It Aint”, and H.O.T.s upcoming collab album “The ConneCTion Experiment” are both incredible displays of real, in your face hiphop cultivated in the streets of CT.

Lighta has 2 releases; The ‘Flame On’ mixtape. Snd full posthumous album ‘Lighta Jaay’ -both released on Handsome Money Music. Lighta had an incredible and frankly creepy forshadowing of what was to come with the release of his only official music video for his single titled ‘If I Die Young’ where he told the story of his own death- the music video was shot in a cemetery. Lighta is dearly missed and his spirit lives on thru his friends, family, and fans. Flick your Bics for him one time. Flame on.

(RIP) lighta

Lighta took CT by storm in the mid 2000’s with a unique style and a promising future. A mainstay of Handsome Money Music/Factory Underground, with Kenny Ca$h’s production and DJ Connect on the decks- Lighta’s slick wordplay and unforgettable voice turned heads and gained fans regularly. His charisma and positive supportive energy was embraced by many; he truly was a source of light. Lighta joined the Full Blast Movement upon their inception and was near and dear to the crew, performing and collaborating with them regularly.

Tragically, Lighta lost his life returning from a show, along with friend and fellow hiphop supporter Jaay- and the impact was fierce and felt heavily across many circles within CT and NY hiphop. Lightas legacy lives on thru many in the CT music scene, Full Blast included. The Full Blast crew often uses Lightas music as their intro at live shows, Handsome Money released a tribute track. And the tragic story of loss was rold by Duece Bug on his track “Mouring Breath” from his album MANTIS released in 2012 and Duece dedicated his single ‘Keep It Constant’ off the MANTIS album to Lighta’s mother Mama Lighta, a beloved supporter of CT hiphop.
